In today’s piece, we’ll be taking a look at Jackson’s first wife, Lisa Marie’s words on her relationship with the legend. In a talk, she had even revealed the reason behind parting ways with the Thriller hitmaker.
Back in 2010, Lisa Marie had a conversation with Oprah Winfrey. Lisa, who was married to Michael Jackson from 1994 to 1996, spoke on various aspects of her relationship with Michael Jackson. She said, “He tried so hard and went through so much with me. He’s never done that with any other female or anyone.”
“When we were together were really in love and had the rough patches and then I had to make the decision to walk because I saw the drugs and doctors were coming in and they scared me and that put me back into what I went through with my father – and that ended it,” Lisa Marie added.
Lisa even had spoken about her final conversation Michael Jackson before his death. She said, “It was a very long conversation. I was so removed and he could hear it and feel it. He wanted to tell me that I was right about a lot of people around him. That it had panned out to be exactly what he and I had talked about years ago. He asked if I still loved him and I told him I was indifferent. And he didn’t like that word and he cried…”
