Ellen DeGeneres has been making a lot of noise lately. However, the reasons aren’t very great. The American host has been called out for non-payment of dues amid the on-going crisis. Furthermore, YouTuber Nikkie de Jager and Ellen’s ex-bodyguard have slammed her over inappropriate behaviour. But we bring to you the time when she was almost in a rift with Dakota Johnson publicly.
The interview revolved around Dakota Johnson’s birthday party. The Fifty Shades Of Grey actress appeared on The Ellen DeGeneres Show days after her turning 30. So, the comedian mockingly called her out for not inviting her. And that began the healthy yet cold quarrel. Below are the excerpts:
Dakota Johnson: Actually, no, that’s not the truth. Ellen, you were invited.
And this began it all. Furthermore, Ellen DeGeneres claimed that Dakota was lying about inviting her. To this, the actress asked her to confirm the same with the host’s producer Jonathan.
Jonathan then went onto confirm that Ellen indeed was invited. This led to the host to finally accept, “No, I think I do remember, I was invited. Thank you!”
Although the two mockingly concluded that topic, we’re not sure if it was as healthy as it was portrayed.
The highlight of the show turned out when Dakota confessed that Ellen DeGeneres isn’t her favourite comedian. While talking about her birthday party, she revealed Tig Notaro performed on her big day as a birthday surprise. The moment The Fifty Shades actress said that Tig is her favourite comedian, the entire crowd started screaming.
Ellen DeGeneres who jokingly got offended went onto make a comeback as she said Jennifer Aniston is her favourite actress.
Dakota Johnson, however, took it lightly and said, Jennifer Aniston is her favourite too!
