Ryan Reynold and Hugh Jackman have their long-running social media battle. The Australian actor had played the role of Logan/Wolverine while Reynolds played the role of Wade Wilson/Deadpool. For years fans have been hoping that they get to see their both favourite actors once again on one screen. It seems that fans may finally see their dream come true.
Their friendly banter had caught enough social media attention. However, surprisingly no major Hollywood studio has tried to bring back Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman in the same movie after X-Men Origins: Wolverine. The Deadpool actor had even tried to poke fun at the Wolverine star, while he was still playing the role at Fox.
Hugh Jackman had also talked about the friendly banter with Ryan Reynolds during an interview with Insider. He said, “I used to ream him because I was very close friends with Scarlett [Johansson], and Scarlett had just married Ryan, so when he came on set I was like, ‘Hey, you better be on your best behaviour here, pal, because I’m watching,’ and we started ribbing each other that way, and then it all escalated with the ‘Deadpool’ thing and him calling me out and trying to manipulate me through social media to do what he wanted.”
