Well, the Canadian actor had gone on a semi-retirement phase. After having declined an invitation to make a cameo appearance in 2016’s Ghostbusters, the actor clarified that he had not retired, but become selective about future roles. Well, it looks like Ryan Reynolds has succeeded in getting him back.

The commercial which got together Ryan Reynolds and Rick Moranis is to promote a new phone plan from Mint Mobile. To be fair, when the mobile phone company is owned by the Deadpool himself, you can expect a certain calibre of celebrity to tip up in the adverts.
Moranis appeared alongside Reynolds for a brief segment in a series of three adverts and their meeting took place in a field, for whatever reason.
Rick has not featured in a movie in years. So fans were surprised when Rick Moranis resurfaced on Tuesday to appear as himself in a brief commercial for Mint Mobile. It was rather shocking that the Ghostbusters star would break his lengthy screen absence with a commercial as he described himself as picky. Check out the ad below:
The actor had even refused to play certain roles that made him famous. Hence it was a happy moment for all the fans to see both Rick and Ryan together. According to reports in Ladbible, Moranis is coming out of his self-enforced hiatus pretty soon for yet another film in the Honey, I Shrunk series.
As of right this second, there is no word on when the production will start, as Disney has ceased production on all live-action feature films, so we’ll have to wait a while yet for more Moranis.
