The Saturday Night Live star and Nicole Richie were best of friends once upon a time. The two reality stars even had a show together called ‘The Simple Life’.
Paris Hilton and Nicole Richie were at the peak of their careers when the duo drifted apart and became the worst enemies of each other.
In a press interview in 2005, Paris Hilton revealed that she’s no longer friends with Richie and said, “It’s no big secret that Nicole and I are no longer friends, Nicole knows what she did and that’s all I’m ever going to say about it.”
Paris Hilton became an overnight internet sensation, which started bothering Nicole. As per reports, she was apparently jealous of the media attention that the Bottoms Up actress was getting.
Nicole was also pissed that she wasn’t invited to any of Hilton’s events and that she wasn’t even included in the House Of Wax actress’ appearance on Saturday Night Live (SNL). So, to take revenge, Nicole had a success party to celebrate Paris’ appearance on SNL, which was followed by the screening of her notorious 2003 s*x tape in front of all the guests.
“Paris was very hurt,” said People’s source. “She loves Nicole, but believes she owed an apology.”
In an interview with Andy Cohen in 2014, Richie revealed that even though she’s not friends with Paris Hilton, she still considers her a good friend after what all happened.
“The short answer is I haven’t spoken to her in a while. But we are very good friends and I love her and love her family and have a lot of respect for her,” said Richie.
So, that’s that. Both the reality stars have moved on in their respective lives and are living a happy life.
