Johnny Depp was once amongst the highest-paid and most successful actors in Hollywood. His world turned upside down when his ex-wife Amber Heard accused him of domestic violence and filed for divorce in 2016. Johnny Depp accused of abuse by co-star
Lola Glaudini played the role of Rada in Blow. On the Powerful Truth Angels podcast, Johnny Depp’s co-star has accused him of verbal abuse. The allegedly horrific incident took place on her first day of the shoot. She claims the director, Ted Demme, gave her clear instructions to break into laughter after a certain word prompted by JD’s character.
Lola Glaudini recalled, “(Depp) says his monologue, and I go, haha. And Johnny Depp walks over to me, sticks his finger in my face. And I’m in a bikini on the ground like this – and he comes over and he goes, ‘Who the f*** do you think you are? Who the f*** do you think you are? Shut the f*** up. I’m out here, and I’m trying to f****** say my lines, and you’re out f***ing pulling focus.”
The alleged torture did not end there. With his finger in her mouth, Johnny Depp called her an “idiot” and ordered her to stay “shut” the same way she listened to him at that point.
During the conversation, Lola Glaudini later revealed that Johnny gave her a “non-apology apology.”
This isn’t the first time Johnny Depp has been accused of abuse. He was termed a “wife beater” in an article by The Sun, a claim he fought against in court. However, the actor lost the libel trial in the UK.
His reputation suffered a major dent after Amber Heard accused him of domestic violence and gained a restraining order against him in 2016. He sued her for $50 million and won the defamation trial that took place in Virginia in 2022. Amber Heard was ordered to pay damages worth $10.35 million but settled the case for a sum of only $1 million.
