Everyone is waiting for Phase 4 Marvel movies. MCU’s upcoming slate includes projects like Eternals, Shang Chi and The Legend of The Ten Rings, Black Widow and many other projects. But due to COVID-19 pandemic, the wait for all these movies is getting longer day-by-day.
Recently, Marvel dropped ‘The’ from the title of Eternals. This recent development has brought the buzz of this multi-starrer back among the audience. The Chloe Zao directorial stars Kit Harington, Kumail Nanjiani, Richard Madden, Angelina Jolie, Ma Dong-Seok and Salma Hayek.
Since the film was announced, not much is spoken about it. But it is one of the crucial MCU movies as it also has infinity stones to play a vital role. Yes, the same stones that swiped half the Earth’s population in Avengers: Infinity War and killed Thanos in Avengers: Endgame. Well, good news. Eternals director Chloe Zao has opened up about her Marvel project and shared exciting details.
Chloe Zao talked about how she wants to make Eternals bigger than Avengers: Endgame. The filmmaker told Comic Book Movie, “I have such deep, strong, manga roots. I brought some of that into Eternals. And I look forward to pushing more of that marriage of East and West. How much further and bigger can we go after Endgame? Because I’m not just making the film as a director. I’m making the film as a fan.”
The cast of the movie is brilliant. About working with such a unique ensemble cast, Zao shared, “I wanted it to reflect the world we live in. But also I wanted to put a cast together that feels like a group of misfits. I didn’t want the jocks. I want you to walk away at the end of the movie not thinking, ‘This person is this ethnicity, that person is that nationality’. No. I want you to walk away thinking, ‘That’s a family’. You don’t think about what they represent. You see them as individuals.”
Eternals is slated to release on February 12, 2021.
