Titled as Aadujeevitham in Malayalam, the film is a survival drama and is helmed by Blessy. It is scheduled to hit theatres on 28th March. Apart from Prithviraj, it also stars Amala Paul, Jimmy Jean-Louis, and others in key roles. In 2024, so far, we have seen films with controlled budgets doing magic at the worldwide box office. Now, we have finally got the big-budget cinema from Mollywood.
Even though the exact figure is not known, it is said that The Goat Life has been made at a budget of 80 crores. With such a high cost, expectations have also soared, and amid the ongoing winning season of Malayalam cinema, this one is also expected to emerge victorious. Thankfully, things are also working in the film’s favor.

Talking about the pre-release buzz, The Goat Life is enjoying a genuine interest on the ground level. As per Track Tollywood’s report, tickets worth 2 crores+ have already been sold in Kerala. In the overseas market, the film has crossed the mark of $200K in pre-sales. From here, it seems in a comfortable position to take a double-digit start at the worldwide box office.
The Goat Life will be enjoying an extended weekend of 4 days, with the benefit of two holidays- Friday (Good Friday) and Sunday. As other Malayalam releases like Premalu and Manjummel Boys have been running in theatres for over a month now, this Prithviraj Sukumaran starrer will face no difficulties in grabbing a good screen/show count.
It’s just a matter of positive word-of-mouth, and once that kicks in, the survival drama could become the third 100-crore Malayalam grosser at the worldwide box office in 2024. So far, Premalu and Manjummel Boys have managed to attain this glorious feat.
