Thappad Box Office: After showing reasonable growth over the weekend, it had a low Monday at the box office. It was the need of the hour for the film to come close to Friday numbers on Monday. That said, it was always going to be difficult since the weekend growth was good, not excellent, and that always meant that Monday would see a drop from Friday.
This is what happened as 2.26 crores came in. Ideally, at least 2.50 crores should have been accumulated after Friday collections of 3.07 crores. However with that not happening, a lot now depends on Tuesday hold. At the least, the numbers should now stay stable around the Monday mark for rest of the weekdays. However if there is any further fall now, the film would at best turn out to be a two week runner since Baaghi 3 will end up occupying majority of screens this Friday.
