Ajay Devgn and R Madhavan’s Shaitaan is enjoying a smooth ride in its theatrical run. The film, considering its genre, was expected to do very limited business, but a well-cut trailer proved to be a game-changer. It set the stage for a solid start, and after that, the content is doing all the talking. Now, in the latest development, the film has crossed the 100 crore gross mark at the worldwide box office. Directed by Vikas Bahl, the horror thriller received mixed to positive reviews from critics, but it’s the appreciation from a section of audiences that has helped it sail smoothly at ticket windows so far. After a strong start, the film has kept the momentum intact during weekdays. It is on its way to emerge as a good commercial winner.
Shaitaan at the worldwide box office
Shaitaan completed a theatrical run of 6 days, and during this journey, it raked in an estimated total of 76.01 crores net at the Indian box office. In gross, it equals 89.69 crores. In the overseas market, the film has earned 21 crores gross so far. After combining Indian and overseas gross, the collection stands at 110.69 crores gross (estimates) at the worldwide box office.
With this, Shaitaan has become the third Bollywood film to enter the 100-crore club (gross) globally in 2024. Before it, Hrithik Roshan’s Fighter and Shahid Kapoor-Kriti Sanon’s Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya achieved this feat.
Considering the pace, this horror thriller will easily cross the 150-crore mark in the next few days. Yes, Yodha and Bastar: The Naxal Story are arriving in theatres tomorrow, but Shaitaan will continue to mint moolah due to its different genre.
Awaiting a domestic milestone!
While the entry into the global 100-crore club has been accomplished, the film will soon be joining the 100-crore net club at the Indian box office in style. This feat is expected to be achieved by the end of the second weekend. Whenever this happens, it’ll become the second Bollywood film in 2024 to achieve the feat after Hrithik Roshan’s Fighter.

Apart from Ajay Devgn and R Madhavan, the film also stars Janki Bodiwala, Jyothika, and Anngad Raaj in key roles. It was released in theatres on 8th March, and it’s an official Hindi remake of 2023’s Gujarati film, Vash.
