Ramleela opened to a huge start in the overseas market. The film which just concluded its opening weekend strode past the year’s bigger releases like Krrish 3 and Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani. While Krrish 3 was lukewarm overseas, Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani earned heavily in the overseas market. Sanjay leela Bhansali’s Ramleela managed to gross a hefty 25 crores from key circuits overseas.
In U.S.A and Canada, the film in its first weekend managed to earn a heavy amount of 9.65 crores. In U.K, the film debuted at the ninth position on the charts and earned 3.50 crores in its opening weekend. In U.A.E-G.C.C, the film managed to tick off with a lofty amount of 6 crores.
In Australia, the film did exquisitely well as it opened to a lavish 1.55 crores in its first weekend. In New Zealand, the film earned 27.80 lacs and in Fiji, the film made 7.55 lacs by the conclusion of its first weekend.
