After taking a dull opening at the box-office on Friday (January 6, 2012) Abbas-Mustan’s Players could collect only Rs. 4.5 – Rs. 5 crore (estimated all-India net collection) on the opening day. This is quite poor for the multi-starrer. The film, based on a gold-heist, took a slow start and did not pick-up much at the windows because of lack of appreciation by the paying public.
The action-thriller, which starred Abhishek Bachchan, Bipasha Basu, Bobby Deol, Neil Nitin Mukesh, Sonam Kapoor, Sikander Kher and Omi Vaidya, failed to brings audiences to the theaters in big numbers on day one. The film’s opening was dull almost everywhere, more so in the multiplexes.
