Lal Salaam has had a steady pace at the box office over the weekend. Starring Rajinikanth, Vishnu Vishal, and Vikranth, the movie performed moderately, if not average. Check out the collection numbers for the first Monday of Lal Salaam.
The movie was released on Feb 9, 2024, and made a decent business of 3.55 crore on Day 1. While it was expected to pick up on Saturday and Sunday, it didn’t really show that jump. The collections were 3.25 crore on Day 2 and 3.15 crore on Day 3, which was an 8% and 3% drop, respectively, from its opening day.
On its 1st Monday, Lal Salaam showed the usual Monday drop. As per early estimates, the movie collected 1.13 crore yesterday, taking its 4 days net India total to 11.08 crore. This figure indicates a moderate performance for the movie in terms of box office earnings.
Dhanush’s Captain Miller rather did more business than Rajini-starrer
On the fourth day of its release, Captain Miller earned a business of 6.55 crore. By the end of its fourth-day run, the Dhanush-starrer had collected 30.60crores net at the Indian box office.
But Ayalaan was the winner in the race, as compared to Captain Miller
On its 1st Monday, Ayalaan‘s collection of 6.70 crores was recorded, showing a 26.41% increase from Sunday’s 5.30 crores. The four-day collection of the film was 19.70 crores.
Lal Salaam’s worldwide total, so far
Despite collecting 3crore from overseas, Lal Salaam’s worldwide box office gross totaled only 15 crore, which is less than what was expected. Unfortunately, the film’s content received mixed reviews, and the lack of positive word-of-mouth only worsened matters. The public’s lukewarm response to the movie had a significant impact on its overall business, leading to a disappointing box office performance.
