Hate Story 2 opened to an average occupancy today. The film had decent occupancy at the single screens but the multiplexes remained poor. The film starring Surveen Chawla, Jay Bhanushali and Sushant Singh is one of the three releases this week and has performed comparatively better than Pizza and Amit Sahni Ki List, which had a below average occupancy in the morning shows.
Hate Story in rural circuits opened to a 40-50% occupancy which was good but overall the film received poor responses across the country.
While last week’s releases still hold power, the new releases will be affected for sure. Not just the Bollywood drama Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania is performing well but also Riteish Deshmukh’s Lai Bhaari has been strong.
The film depends on positive word of mouth and the weekend will be crucial for it to boast good figures at the domestic box office.
