Happy New Year had a decent opening weekend in the overseas circuit. The film has collected 29.50 crores INR approx $5 million in the international markets over its first three days. The film has performed a little lower than expected, considering it is Shah Rukh Khan film, who has a massive fan following overseas.
SRK’s last film Chennai Express had made huge collection of 35.92 crores over the opening weekend. Compared to this, HNY’s overseas report seems little low. In spite of an elaborate promotion in the International circuits, Happy New Year has performed a little less than the expectation.
