The Dark Knight Rises did justice to The Dark Knight trilogy. It fulfilled the expectations of the fans by gifting another supervillain like Bane. Ever since the trailer was released, fans were stunned by the transformation and mysterious persona presented by Tom Hardy. And once, when the film was out in theatres, it created a rage all over.
One can easily say that Tom Hardy lived the vision of Christopher Nolan’s supervillain. But for pulling off that mysterious terrorist, Tom had undergone a drastic transformation. Right from his accent to the bulky physique, the actor did every single thing to get under the character’s skin.
As per the original comics, Bane is a bit taller than Batman and in reality, Tom Hardy is a bit shorter than Christian Bale. A tricky situation, right? But here Christopher Nolan’s mind came into the play. In order to make Tom’s Bane appear taller, three-inched lifts were used for the actor. Thanks to this technique, The Dark Knight Rises’ Bane appeared taller and dominating than other characters.
