Timothee Chalamet and Zendaya starrer Dune 2 is enjoying a glorious run at the ticket windows. The epic science fiction film hit the theatres worldwide on March 1, 2024. And within 7 days, it has become the first film at the domestic box office to enter the $100 million club. If that’s not enough, it has also surpassed the lifetime earnings of its predecessors. As per trade analyst Luiz Fernando, Dune 2 has become the first film in 2024 to surpass the $100 million mark at the US box office. It grossed a whopping $6.7 million on the first Wednesday, which marks the eighth biggest of all time at the domestic box office.
Beauty And The Beast scored the biggest Wednesday of all time in March at the domestic box office. It brought in $11.5 million in earnings. The list has several other biggies, including Captain Marvel ($8.6 million),The Batman($8.5million), and The Hunger Games ($8.1 million).

After six successful days, the box office collection of Dune 2 currently stands at $104.7 million. Timothee Chalamet and Zendaya starrer is all set to leave behind its predecessor, which made total earnings of $108.9 million in its lifetime. That, too, in a span of only a week.
