Dhurandhar 2 may not have the China benefit as Dangal did, but does it need it in the first place? Clearly not. Ranveer Singh’s spy action thriller sequel ranks as the 2nd highest-grossing Bollywood film worldwide, that too in only 15 days. It is now competing against Aamir Khan‘s biggest blockbuster. Scroll below for a detailed global comparison.

Dangal Worldwide Box Office Collection

Aamir Khan starrer surpassed all expectations at the worldwide box office, mainly due to its success in China, where it grossed over 1300 crore. In its lifetime, Dangal earned 2059.04 crore gross, emerging as the only Indian film to enter the 2000 crore club in history.

In 15 days of its run, Dangal collected 320 crore net at the domestic box office, which is about 416 crore in gross earnings. Additionally, it earned 170.49 crore gross from overseas circuits, including North America, the UK, Australia, and the Gulf. The worldwide total stood at 586.49 crore gross.

On the other hand, Dhurandhar 2 has entered the 1500 crore club within 15 days of its Indian run. Mind you, it is banned in China and the UAE, which could have otherwise taken the collection to all new heights.

Ranveer Singh starrer has accumulated 1133.98 crore gross from the domestic market, while the remaining 379 crore are from international circuits like North America, Australia, New Zealand, Germany, the UK, Canada, Hong Kong, and Finland, among others.

The worldwide box office collection currently stands at 1512.98 crore gross.

Dhurandhar 2 vs Dangal Worldwide Box Office Comparison (15 days)

Aditya Dhar’s spy action thriller sequel is a clear winner with a lead of a staggering 158%. But the real question is whether Dhurandhar: The Revenge will be able to emerge as the highest-grossing Indian film worldwide. It still needs 546 crore more in the kitty, which is challenging.

There’s no significant competition at the ticket windows, as even Akshay Kumar’s Bhooth Bangla has been postponed. Even in the international circuit, there is no Indian rival. If Dhurandhar 2 maintains a steady hold, it will very well be able to beat Dangal and conquer the ultimate throne. Its pace during the third weekend will majorly determine whether the target is possible.
