Dhoom 3‘s box office business remained quite steady on its 3rd Tuesday as well. The movie managed to make a business of around 2 crores approx yesterday, taking its Domestic total to 271 crores at the Box Office (including Tamil and Telugu versions as well).

With the release of Dedh Ishqiya this week, the record-breaking run of Dhoom 3 will finally slow down and soon come to an end. While business at single-screens will completely drop down, the multiplexes might witness little collections coming in Week 4.
Meanwhile take a look at Dhoom 3‘s Profit rate:

(all-India net collections) (in Rs. crores)
Koimoi analyses the profit and loss measures of each film that is released, keeping a close eye on the investments made on it. The profit margins of the films are calculated on the basis of the film’s return on investment (ROI). ROI is calculated by the number of times a movie earns over its production and marketing costs. Contrary to popular belief, 100 crore club is not the index of profit or success. But it is the ROI the film garners that makes it lucrative of profit incurring as a venture!

Why Return on Investment doesn’t includes Foreign collections??
Once again shame collections. Its clear that chennai express is the real winner. having facing tough competition from OUATIMD and Madras Cafe, chennai express earned 1.50 crs approx on 3rd tuesday. but see the collections of dhoom 3, without much great competition from movies like sholay 3d and MJBC, still earned only 2 crs approx. This itself shows the film is a failure in collections. u people will like my comments. but thi is fact. this is true.
mimimimi… Cry is free :) Shahrukh’s fan stop bothering other with your lame excuse. Aamir completely outshined shahrukh that’s the fact. But again you can keep enjoying your fakhiir khan movies.
why was chennai express star not given a chance to do dhoom3 by yashraj, while later had the maximum no of hits with them, because the production house was not confident of him carrying such a big budget movie.even yashji was alive when the film was finalised .this is the same production house that made actor a super star.
Who told you that Dhoom 3 total investment is 125 Crore its 105 Crores while Chennai express cost is 90 crores.
Ruk Ruk khan ki patri utar gayi hai.
