Kriti Sanon is having a phenomenal year at the box office. While she started 2024 with a bang playing a robot in the rom-com Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya, she is back winning the audiences with a light-hearted dark comedy Crew. The heist film co-starring Kareena Kapoor Khan and Tabu is winning the audience.
Kriti started her career in 2014 with Tiger Shroff’s action film Heropanti at the box office. Since then, there has been no turning back for the actress, and this is her 10th year at the box office.
However, we wondered how Kriti’s first day at the box office was. And a little research gave us some eye-popping facts. Kriti registered 6.5 crore on the first day of her box office innings with Heropanti.
While Kriti Sanon had a phenomenal day 1 at the box office in her career with Heropanti, it was interestingly her first hit at the box office as well. Helmed by Sabbir Khan, the film collected 55 crore in its lifetime, earning a hit tag!
Kriti Sanon’s First Profit
Heropanti made a profit of almost 120% at the box office and was the first profitable film of the actress’s Bollywood career. Since then, she has been churning out profits at the box office. Produced by Sajid Nadiadwala, the film was made on a budget of only 25 crore!
Heropanti Vs Crew Opening Day
While 10 years ago, Kriti Sanon registered an opening of 6.5 crores at the box office on the first day of her first release, 10 years later, she registered a whopping 46.15% higher opening with Crew. To match the success and profit of Heropanti, Crew needs to earn almost 135+ crore according to the reported budget of 60 – 65 crore to churn out at least a 120% profit, like Heropanti.
With a 9.5 crore opening, Crew has emerged as the third-highest opening for a female-centric film after Gangubai Kathiawadi and Veere Di Wedding. Hopefully, it will continue to churn out historic numbers in the upcoming days.
