The film enjoyed the benefit of discounted ticket rates, and the opening day turned out to be much better than expected. Over the years, Vidyut has proven himself to be a man with the potential to be a huge action star in Indian cinema. Sadly, if one takes a look at his filmography and success rate, the actor still has a long way to go. Yes, he enjoys a fan base in India that is loyal to him, but it’s quite limited and is clearly not enough when it comes to pushing Vidyut’s films ahead of the victory line at the box office.
Also, none of his previous releases have been applauded universally. The majority of Vidyut’s films have enjoyed a limited appeal.
Vidyut Jammwal’s last success came in 2013
Vidyut Jammwal’s journey in Bollywood started on a decent note in Bollywood with Force. The film was just an average affair, but it got him some attention. The actor tasted his first clean success in 2013 in the form of Commando. It did a decent business of 21 crores at the Indian box office and was a ‘plus’ affair, as per the Koimoi verdict.
Sadly, Commando is Vidyut Jammwal’s first and last success.

Crakk enjoyed the benefit of Cinema Lovers’ Day yesterday, with ticket rates across the national cinema chains and other multiplexes being priced at 99 rupees. As a result, Vidyut got his 3rd biggest opener of his career with 4.11 crores coming in on day 1. This is something to cheer for, and if the momentum continues, the film could turn out to be a much-needed success for the actor. Of course, a lot of distance is there to be covered, but the positive thing is that there’s no competition in theatres other than Article 370, which belongs to a completely different genre.
