Kangana Ranaut starrer Tanu Weds Manu Returns was made on a budget of 31 crores. After being showered with a lot of praises for Ranaut’s acting and the fiery dialogues that went viral, the film’s perfomance at the box office too was smashing. The film became 2015’s first entrant into the 100 crore club and went on to make a collection of 152 crores at the Indian Box office.

Hate Story 3

The recently releases erotic thriller Hate Story 3 was made on a modest budget of 13.20 crores but the film went on collect to 53.50 crores at the domestic box office thus making it a Super Hit.

Pyaar Ka Punchnama 2

Loved by the critics as well as audiences, Pyaar Ka Punchnama2 turned out to be a surprising Super Hit of the year. The film was made on a budget of 16 crores and with the positive word of mouth the film went on to collect 62 crores in India.

Bajrangi Bhaijaan

Salman Khan’s Bajrangi Bhaijaan was made on the whopping budget of 90 crores, but this film become the highest grossing film of 2015 and became the second Bollywood film to enter the 300 crore club by earning 320.34 crores.

Prem Ratan Dhan Payo

Salman Khan-Sonam Kapoor starrer family drama Prem Rata Dhan Payo was made on a budget of 100 crores and entered the 200 crore club by collecting 207.40 crores at the box office. Hence the film turned out to be a Hit of 2015.

Talvar

Talvar starring Irrfan Khan and Konkona Sen Sharma in lead roles became one the critically acclaimed films of the year. The film was made on a minimal budget but became a surprise hit and collected 28.20 at the domestic box office.

Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon

Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon was the debut film of comedian Kapil Sharma and was made on a budget of 20 crores and apparently the film collected 46.25 crores at the box office, thus making it a hit.

Piku

Starring heavy weights like Amitabh Bachchan, Irrfan Khan and Deepika Padukone, Piku was made on the budget of 35 crores and the film earned 79 crores at the box office. The light-hearted film received praises from everyone and became a hit.

Hunterrr

Hunterrr , the adult comedy was made on a shoe-string budget of 6 crores and the film went on to collect 13.50 crores at the box office. The Gulshan Devaiah starrer received praises from the critics and was another surprise hit of the year.

NH10

The maiden production venture of Anushka Sharma, NH 10 was made on a budget of 13 crores and with positive reviews, the film went on to collect 32 crores at the domestic box office.

Dum Laga Ke Haisha

Dum Laga Ke Haisha, the rom-com featuring Ayushmann Khurrana and debutante Bhumi Pednekar was made on the budget of 15 crores and the film ultimately collected 30 crores.

Badlapur

Badlapur – The Varun Dhawan starrer thriller drama was made on a budget of 24 crores and the film apparently collected 51.40 crores at the box office.

December Biggies – Dilwale & Bajirao Mastani

Now talking of the Indian Box Office Verdict of 2 biggest films of the year end, Dilwale and Bajirao Mastani. Interestingly, both the movies have had heavy costs involved with them.

Dilwale has estimated cost of 100 crores and Bajirao Masatni is made at estimated 125 crores. The movies have a Average Verdict at Koimoi Indian Box Office Verdict page. The two may move to Plus verdict as recovery of costs is done by them.

For Dilwale to be termed as Hit on Koimoi Page it has to cross Rs 200 crores at Indian Box Office and Bajirao Mastani will have to cross Rs 250 crores.With the trend in collections now with Dilwale already settled to lower collections and Bajirao Mastani maintaining fair numbers, the probability of reaching 200 crores or 250 crores looks out of question. Both movies may wrap with a PLUS verdict here.
