Box Office Updates: Shikara did surprise on its first day with 1.20 crores coming in and post that there was growth on Saturday and stable collections on Sunday. However, that also did give an indication that Monday hold may not be great and it would be a wait-n-watch scenario.
Well, the collections have turned out to be lower than expectations as only 0.60 crores* came in. This isn’t optimal at all for the Vidhu Vinod Chopra starrer as the footfalls have resulted drastically. Now from here even if the collections are around the same mark for rest of the weekdays, there won’t be much to cheer about as the first week would still be low.

So far, the film has collected 5.50 crores* and now the best-case scenario would be for the lifetime to be in 8-10 crores range. Though this was always going to be the maximum potential for the film, Friday opening had indicated otherwise, albeit for only a little while.

As for Jawaani Jaaneman, the collections fell too and only 0.68 crores came in. The film had brought in 1.04 crores on Friday, which was anyways low, so this is further reduction in footfalls. The overall collections of the Saif Ali Khan starrer now stand at 25.18 crores.
*Estimates. Final numbers awaited
