Airlift,Housefull 3 and now Rustom – Akshay Kumar is enjoying his third release in seven months. If one adds his 2015 releases Baby, Gabbar Is Back, Brothers and Singh Is Bliing, it becomes an astonishing 7 releases in 20 months. That comes to one movie every quarter! For 2017, there are already two films already set for release – Jolly LLB 2 and Robot 2.0. Rest assured, there would be a couple of more films that the superstar would throw in before the close of next year. Despite such work load, he is consistently making money for all involved with a good ratio of successful films.
In the middle of this all, when a film like Rustom hits the screens and arrives in the middle of all around positivity, it is bonus for everyone associated with it. No wonder, Zee Studios and KriArj Entertainment can be expected to be happy with the fact that this Tinu Suresh Desai directed film is creating noise for all the right reasons. If the star power of the film by itself wasn’t enough, promotion by Salman Khan, Karan Johar, Sonakshi Sinha, Sonam Kapoor, Ranveer Singh and others has only added on to the buzz surrounding Rustom.
All of that would ensure that the film sees good numbers coming for it when it releases this Friday. Day One collections are expected to be anything between Airlift (12.35 crore) and Housefull 3 (15.21 crore).
Post that the film’s content would come into action and the long holiday season right through the week would only help the Akshay Kumar starrer further consolidate its position.
