Box Office – Jazbaa Jumps Well On Saturday

As expected, Jazbaa has registered a good jump in collections on Saturday. With word of mouth being good, the film saw enhanced footfalls on its Day Two with occupancy increasing in 30%-40% range. As a result, Saturday collections were 5.49 crore. Add to that the Day One collections of 4.23 crore and the film now stands at 9.72 crore.

An upward trend like this has lent positive signals for the Sanjay Gupta directed film, which means at least 6 crore are pretty much on the cards for Friday. Yes, there is an India V/s South Africa ODI today which would prove to be some sort of a deterrent. Still, a good escalation evidenced so far should offset that too to some extent at the least.

The film is aiming at a weekend of over 15 crore comfortably which means it well go past Bipasha Basu’s Alone (15 crore), Sonam Kapoor’s Dolly Ki Doli (15 crore), Sunny Leone’s Ek Paheli Leela (12 crore) and Anushka Sharma’s NH10 (13.25 crore). If the jump is even bigger, the film could well surpass Kangna Ranaut’s Katti Batti (16.27 crore) as well.

It would be interesting to see if that happens indeed.
