Box Office: It’s quite surprising that despite giving a record-breaker in the form of Ajay Devgn’s Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior, the year 2020 is performing way below than 2019 in terms of box office numbers. While we hoped that the arrival of Tiger Shroff’s Baaghi 3 and Irrfan Khan’s Angrezi Medium would end the dry phase and help to score over last year’s March but the pandemic of coronavirus is proving to be a big hurdle.

Usually, we cover the comparison report at the end of every month but as Akshay Kumar’s Sooryavanshi has been postponed and Baaghi 3, Angrezi Medium collecting lower than expected, there’s hardly any point of waiting. Both the newly released films have fetched minimal numbers during the weekend and the closure of more theatres as a precautionary measure for coronavirus epidemic has just worsened the conditions.

Box Office 2020 VS 2019: Due To Sooryavanshi’s Postponement & Baaghi 3, Angrezi Medium’s Underperformance, The Month Of March Has Been PLAGUED

Till now, the 2020’s March has accumulated a total of 106.90 crores* including Angrezi Medium’s 10.03 crores* and Baaghi 3‘s 96.87 crores*. It’s way lesser when compared to last March’s 369.72 crores. Another dull month of the year!
