Boss has been sliding downside consistently since the beginning of this week. The film that completed a week’s run at the box office yesterday, could only manage to gather 1.25 crores at the box office on its 2nd Wednesday as per early estimates. The film’s total collections so far now stands at 49 crores at the domestic box office.
Hailed as a typical masala entertainer by fans and even a few critics, the failure of the film perhaps drives home the fact that the recipe of masala films need to see a change as the well tried and tested formula seems to be wearing out its charm. Akshay Kumar has so far witnessed a dull year with none of his films making to the coveted 100 crore mark.

Given Boss‘ unexpectedly dull show, this film too will join the list of films that could not fare well despite a fertile ambiance of being singular important release in 2 weeks without nay stiff competition.
