Bang Bang & Haider Both Recover Cost Within 10 Days At The Box Office

Interestingly, in spite of the clash, both the films have fared extremely well for themselves. Bang Bang fetched a good amount of moolah in its opening week and is continuing to do so post its second weekend too. The film currently stands with a total collection of 144 crores at the domestic box office. Considering that the estimated cost including promotions for Bang Bang was estimated to be 140 crores, the film is already a plus affair. Bang Bang has pulled off this feat in 10 days which is commendable. Not only in the domestic circuit but overseas too the film is accumulating a good business. The estimation for overseas is 58 crores INR and also with additional cash flow from satellite and music rights, the will fetch a favorable P&L account at the box office.

Haider on the other hand being a small budget film that had a clash with a film like Bang Bang has managed to become a plus film. The estimated budget for Haider was a mere 40 crores. Within 10 days, the film has made a business of 46.07 crores at the domestic box office. This makes the film a plus affair.The film was directed at a niche audience and thus the business could not have soared much higher.

Both Bang Bang and Haider had low possibilities to make a Hit. For Bang Bang, the budget being too high and looking at the film’s current performance, making it to a total of 280 crores is difficult while Haider too being a non-commercial film will not be crossing a lifetime business of approximately 55 crores at the domestic box office.

Although it is amazing that both Bang Bang and Haider have fared well so far and it will be interesting to see how much more moolah, both the films add to build more profits.
