Though the critics found the film’s overdose of melodrama unbearable, but the audiences found the fodder of romance brilliant. Despite over four weeks after its release, the film maintained its escalating pace by not letting its repeat audiences rate drop. Appreciated as a heart wrenching story, the film though lags shortly behind the 100 crore mark at domestic box office, its cumulative earnings including global collections has already exceeded the 100 crore income (including taxes).
