What makes Tabu super successful and different from everyone else is her choice of scripts. The actress often takes risks and never shied away from playing twisted, dark, bold characters. In an interview in the past, the Bholaa actress said that she finds playing a good girl boring. She also stated that she doesn’t think playing morally wrong characters on screen is wrong.

Tabu On Playing Morally Wrong Characters

In an interview with Open The Magazine, Tabu said, “I found it pretty boring to play the good girl. I never thought it’s a wrong thing or a risky thing to play morally incorrect people, or layered people or lustful women, for that matter. I didn’t understand why not,  I told myself that society’s idea of what is moralistic should never come in the way of my saying ‘yes’ to any character. That’s why I could play a suicide bomber or a militant or a woman who has an extramarital affair in a film like Astitva.”

In the same interview, the Crew star said these morally wrong characters exist in our world. People are not as simple as we portray them to be, and if someone is ashamed of their darkness, they will never grow. These characters are people who celebrate their dark side, and she finds it interesting to bring them to the screen with her performance.

Well, we agree with Tabu! She clearly left a lasting impression with her remarkable performances by playing complicated and dark characters in Maachis, Maqbool, Andhadhun, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 and several such movies.
