Singer Sona Mohapatra Bashes Alia Bhatt’s ‘Genius Of The Year’?

Well Alia Bhatt’s sporty spirit is being lauded by one and all thanks to the ‘Genius of the Year‘ video where Alia took the jokes on her to another level with it. After the video went viral, almost everyone from the film fraternity appreciated her spirit and called the video an intelligent work. But, it seems singer Sona Mohapatra of ‘Delhi Belly’ fame was not fine with it.

The singer took to Twitter to show her disapproval and tweeted, “These young icons are looked upto by million tots, plied with endorsements & then ‘celebrate’ ‘dumbing down’? It angers me no end that this is the mediocrity that we are so enthusiastic to reward. Let’s all just giggle on?”

Not taking any names, the singer only hinted at Alia and said, “Also sick of our mag covers putting the spotlight on these uni-dimensional propped up celebrities, true achievements be damned. It’s a big clap for the people in the background who make the ones in the front look great! Writers, thinkers, strategists, PR:)”
