Salman Khan has now beaten Shah Rukh Khan to become the top celebrity of 2014 in a list curated by Forbes India. Interestingly, Salman has become one of the few actors to have topped the list on the basis of both revenue and fame. The actor gave a superhit film ‘Kick‘ this year which is currently the highest grosser of the year. In spite of being caught up in his legal mess all year, Salman has stood strong at the box office.
Coming second to Salman is legendary actor Amitabh Bachchan who has a fan following a millions around the world and has moved up three places since last year. The actor will be seen in some interesting projects in the coming such as ‘Do‘ and ‘Piku‘. Shah Rukh Khan stands third on the list this year after being the topper from the past two years. SRK had only one major release this year, ‘Happy New Year‘ did which did not perform up to the mark.
Among other actors on the list, Akshay Kumar comes fifth while Aamir Khan is placed seventh. The only actress to feature in the Top 10 is Deepika Padukone who is placed on the eighth position and Hrithik Roshan after having a decent year with Bang Bang is placed on the ninth position.
