1. Ranbir Kapoor

Ranbir Kapoor

Ranbir Kapoor has proved his worth as an actor time and again, and given his love for sports, it would be quite interesting to see him step into the shoes of the former Indian captain, and make the biopic a memorable affair.

2. Ranveer Singh

Ranveer Singh

Apart from Ranbir Kapoor, another actor who has constantly silenced his critic with powerful performance one after another is Ranveer Singh. Right from Band Baaja Baraat to Padmaavat, Singh raised the bar of performance with every passing film. He is already preparing for the biopic of Kapil Dev, and since he is already into the cricket mode, why not another biopic around a legendary cricketer?

3. Shahid Kapoor

Shahid Kapoor

Shahid Kapoor comes across as a very subdued person in real life, however he somehow manages to ignite the screen with his energy. This is a trait similar to Sourav Ganguly, so he automatically becomes an obvious choice for the film.

4. Sushant Singh Rajput

Sushant Singh Rajput

The man who pulled off the character of Mahendra Singh Dhoni with utmost conviction, can play another cricketing character too. Acting apart, Singh is someone who doesn’t seem to know a lot about the cricketing legend as he has been disrespectful to Sourav a couple of times on twitter. May be reading the script of the biopic would make him “ATLEAST” respect the contribution of Dada to Indian cricket….. And change the false perception he has in mind!

5. Farhan Akhtar

Farhan Akhtar

This is quite an unconventional choice for the role, but none the less Farhan is a fantastic actor who is currently going through a low phase of his career as his last few films failed to do the trick at the Box-Office. A biopic of Ganguly would provide him an opportunity to appeal to a large set of audience and get the career back on track. That apart, he has the experience of playing a sporting legend – Milkha Singh, in his biopic.

6. Rajkummar Rao

Rajkummar Rao

Yet another unconventional choice, but none the less Rajkummar Rao till date has never been a part of a sporting film, and a biopic on someone as popular as Sourav Ganguly would be an ideal scenario for him to venture into this genre. As Rao in the past said, he is here to experiment and take up films belonging to different genres.

Who would you like to see play the titular role in Sourav’s biopic? Do let us know.
