After falling head-over-heels in love with each other on the sets of Brahmastra, Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor tied the knot in April 2022. Despite being one of the most loved and adored celebrity couples of tinsel town, they have often been subjected to criticism and trolls for different reasons. Just a few weeks back, the Animal star became the talking point after Alia in one of her videos, opened up about her husband’s lipstick preference and revealed how he often asks her to remove it.

Recently, the actor hosted an interaction session with fans where he spoke about different things including working with Shraddha Kapoor again, negativity on social media, and his upcoming film Animal. The actor has been in the news as his fans are eagerly waiting for the release of his film on December 1. Its first song ‘Hua Main’ has already taken the web by storm.

Coming back, during his fan interaction, when Ranbir Kapoor was asked about the social media negativity, he opened up about the time he received backlash for the statement he once made. He told his fans, “Recently, I was reading some article about being toxic and something relating to some statement I made and I understand this. And I am on the side of the people who are fighting for toxic masculinity, if they use me as the face of it, it’s fine because their fight is bigger than just me feeling sad about them having an opinion about what I said. I look at a larger picture.”

Talking about the negativity, Ranbir Kapoor said, “I’m not on social media so I don’t have the need to deal with it which is a great thing. But I feel negativity is very important, especially if you are an artist and if you have some work out there I think both need to exist because then that creates a balance. You know sometimes a lot of things are written about you as an actor, a lot of opinions are made which are not necessarily true and if you take it for a pinch of salt because this image of mine which has been created by the movies or the characters I play or by media is something that I don’t own.”
