There has been a bundle of rumors surrounding the Nitesh Tiwari directorial Ramayana. To begin with, Ranbir Kapoor is reportedly playing Ram, while Sai Pallavi will play his Sita. Sunny Deol, Bobby Deol, Yash, and Vijay Sethupathi are among other rumored names who’ve joined the bandwagon. Amidst it all, we hear the project has been delayed. Scroll below for all the details!
A few days back, rumors stated that Janhvi Kapoor had replaced Sai Pallavi. Nitesh Tiwari had reportedly changed his mind at the last minute and felt the Dhadak actress would make the perfect Sita. However, like many other reports, this one also turned out to be a wild claim.
Ranbir Kapoor & Sai Pallavi’s Ramayana delayed?
As per Bollywood Hungama now, Ramayana has been delayed. Earlier news portals reported that the makers felt the costumes were not “lavish” enough, which delayed the shoot. However, the latest source close to the development claims there are “too many internal issues that need to be resolved.” And that is leading to the unfortunate postponement of the Ranbir Kapoor and Sai Pallavi film, which may commence its shoot in 2025.
Insiders also suggested that Nitesh Tiwari will make the first announcement on April 17, 2024, which marks the occasion of Ram Navami. But looks like the makers have no such plans as of now. This news is indeed heartbreaking for the fans, who’ve been eagerly awaiting an authentic update on Ramayana. But guess we’ll have to wait to hear from the horse’s mouth!
