COVID-19 has caused major disruptions to the global economy. With all kinds of business activities being shut in India, the film industry is no exception. While there are several big-budget film shoots that have been stalled due to the lockdown, Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Gangubai Kathiwadi featuring Alia Bhatt is one of them.
But now, if the industry rumour mill is anything to go by, it is being reported that the film might soon be back on floors. A certain source has been quoted by Pinkvilla saying that the Alia Bhatt starrer will resume shoot by June end. The source has said, “Apparently, earlier the filmmaker was definitely looking to demolish the sets, but later on, they decided against it. The set is very much standing tall and would need a little repair work before the cast resumes shoot. Makers are in the process of acquiring required permission to resume shooting. Most probably, if everything goes right, makers are hopeful to resume shoot by the third week of June.”
The news comes in after the Maharastra government has granted permission for film and tv shoots to resume. The permission, however, comes in effect with certain guidelines that shall have to be followed by filmmakers at all times.
