Vijay Deverakonda and his movies have grabbed all the eyeballs in B’Town ever since Sandeep Reddy Vanga created the remake of his blockbuster Arjun Reddy, the hindi version of which starrer Shahid Kapoor & Kiara Advani. Karan Johar has now acquired the rights of his latest release Dear Comrade, and what better would it be then the Telugu actor himself playing the titular role even in the remake! But will he?

Recently, Vijay was in Mumbai and reports suggested that the actor had come to see KJo and rumours around them doing a film together spread like a wildfire. However, it isn’t atleast happening with Dear Comrade. In a recent interview, KJo rubbished the speculations as he said, “He is so good in the film! But Vijay doesn’t want to do the re-make. He’s very clear on that. And I respect and appreciate his viewpoint.”

Meanwhile, earlier it was also strongly being reported that Dhadak couple Jahnvi Kapoor & Ishaan Khatter had been approached to play the lead in the remake. Owing to all the fuss, Karan took to his Twitter and cleared the air as he wrote, “All the best and big success to the team of #DearComradeOnJuly26th ! Also a CLARIFICATION! No lead actors have been considered or approached for the film as yet! The planning for this lovely film is underway!”

Now that there’s no Janhvi-Ishaan and no Deverakonda, we wonder who might play the leads after all. Any suggestions?
