A few months ago, Anurag Kashyap had quit Twitter after receiving rape threats for his daughter. However, today, the filmmaker came back on Twitter again to share his views on the Citizenship Act Protests and police’s action against the students of Jamia Millia Islamia in Delhi.
Kashyap tweeted, “This has gone too far.. can’t stay silent any longer . This government is clearly fascist .. and it makes me angry to see voices that can actually make a difference stay quiet ..”

He also retweeted several tweets and videos of the clash between policemen and students from the college. He also shared Sacred Games’ writer Varun Grover’s tweet in which a girl from Jamia Millia Islamia is speaking to the media.
