Dabangg 2 numbers are on the tables and yes as predicted they are indeed impressive. The Salman Khan starrer made 21.10 Crores nett at the Domestic Box Office on its Opening Day.The figures have broken the record of Akshay Kumar’s Rowdy Rathore being ‘Biggest Opener for Non-holiday Release’.
When it comes to breaking Box Office records, Dabangg Khan err, we mean Salman Khan is in a league of his own. However, this time Salman couldn’t break its record set during Ek Tha Tiger. Obviously that was impractical to break ETT’s record since Dabangg 2 was a non-holiday release unlike ETT which was released on the Indian Independence Day.
However, Sallu still managed to set another record, i.e. Highest Opener For Non-holiday. 2012′s highest opening day collection is held by Ek Tha Tiger with 33 Crores. Whereas, a non-holiday opening is held by Rowdy Rathore with 15.1 Crores followed closely by Talaash with Rs 14 crores.
