Created by leading advertising firm JWT, the advertisement features five best Indian cricketers; Indian skipper M.S Dhoni, Rohit Sharma, Gautam Gambhir, Harbhajan Singh and the upcoming star Shikhar Dhawan.
Lay’s, known for some great advertisements, has this time come up with an idea that is relevant for the season. They managed to get in commentator Ravi Shastri and umpire Billy Bowden as well. An all-in-all cricket fiesta, the Bollywood factor actor Saif Ali Khan still steals the show!
If one has chanced upon the prelude ads of Gambhir driving off in a Hummer after announcing that he is leaving Team KKR for just rupees 5, the grand revelation of the commercial came, when it was announced that the cricketers are joining the Lay’s new flavor team. Cricket is best enjoyed with chips and cold drinks, Lay’s has smartly captured the mood of the audiences and used Saif Ali Khan to market their product in cricket style. The irresistible offer, according to the commercial’s script has lured cricketers into joining the new flavor team of Lay’s.
Saif, who himself has a cricket connect owing to the fact that his father, late Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi was one of the most reputed cricketers of his time.
