Shark Tank India season 3 is being loved by the audiences and people are even placing their bets on who will crack a deal with whom while watching the show. The panel includes the OG Sharks Namita Thapar, Peyush Bansal, Vineeta Singh, Anupam Mittal & Aman Gupta, along with Deepinder Goyal, Ritesh Agarwal, Azhar Iqbal, Amit Jain, Varun Dua, Radhika Gupta, & Ronnie Screwvala.
To date, the best and biggest deal has been done by 5 sharks worth 3 crore, and the lowest-priced deal has also been done by all sharks. However, do you know how much is being paid to these Sharks to invest?
Well, recent theories and discussions suggested that as much as 120 crores per week might have been spent on the paychecks of these sharks. However, is this theory true? If not, then how did the number arrive? We’ll break that down for you.

In a recent episode, Shark Vineeta Singh surprised everyone by telling her actual worth. It was after a pitcher asked for 100 hours from the Sharks. Vineeta then simply calculated and told him it was a valuation of 100 crore! Guess how?
She simply put up the fact that 1 hour of one shark is as good as 1 crore! Her math and derivation impressed co-shark Aman Gupta as well. So considering that on average, five sharks shoot for one day for 12 – 13 hours and in total around 24 hours over the weekend, as much as 120 crore should have been spent on them as per Vineeta’s calculation of their worth.
So while, in some hypothetical world, their paychecks should say 12 crore per day, it seems like the sharks have waived off an amount as big as this number! Another theory suggests that the Sharks for the first season were paid somewhere between 5 – 10 lakhs, they are being paid in the same range for this season as well.
Now, considering that the Sharks only shoot on weekends, for a stretch of 12 – 13 hours, 20 lakh per week does not justify what they bring to the table of the business reality show.
After season 1, Ashneer Grover, in one of his interviews, busted the myth that none of the Sharks were paid anything on Shark Tank India, contrary to the reported numbers. He suggested that the channel came up with the idea of a business reality show where the Sharks had to put money, and the channel would bring them some of the best deals worth investing in, which seems like a fair barter, to be honest.
Meanwhile, none of the other Sharks have ever confirmed or denied the reported figures for their salaries. So till we hear it from the horse’s mouth, it could be 20 lakh or 20 crore, who knows!
