Sanaya Irani On Her 5-Year Sabbatical: “Maybe, A Year Later, I Will Get Tired Of Waiting For My Dream Role”

Sanaya Irani has been a part of some interesting shows like Left Right Left, Miley Jab Hum Tum, Chhanchhan, Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon, Rangrasiya and also in reality shows like Welcome – Baazi Mehmaan Nawazi Ki, Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa and Nach Baliye 8.

The actress was last seen in the show Rangrasiya which was 5 years ago. It has been a long time since Sanaya has worked in a TV show. In an interview with Bombay Times, Irani was asked about the break.

Sanaya said that she was worked non-stop for 12 hours and today, she has reached a stage where she can afford to do what she wants to do. The actress added, ” I took a break from fiction after Rangrasiya because nothing interesting was being offered to me. I don’t want to be an actor who works non-stop for money. As a medium, TV has changed, and I don’t see myself fit into that space.”

Sanaya Irani credited the medium of the TV for her success and popularity. The actress said she isn’t saying no to work on TV anymore, but she is just declining the work that’s coming to her. Taking a break hasn’t been easy for her as every day she wondered if she is making a mistake.
