Mirzapur 2 To Release In August, Saif Ali Khan’s Dilli Gets A Green Signal For Season 2 From Amazon Prime Video?

Amazon Prime Video announced its long lineup of 14 shows to release this year in January. The streaming giant has two huge shows including Dilli starring Saif Ali Khan and the much-awaited Mirzapur 2 in the pipeline. Now if the grapevine is to be believed, the streaming giant has already renewed Ali Abbas Zafar directorial Dilli for a second season even before its release and has also locked release date for Mirzapur season 2.

If the reports are to be believed Saif Ali Khan-led Dilli has impressed Amazon Prime India even before the show has released. Resulting in, the giant has decided to give a green signal for a second season even before the first is out. Meanwhile, it is being said that Dilli is up for an October 2020 release.

The show that had its working title Tandav, was later titled Dilli. Saif Ali Khan in a recent interview had opened up that he did not like the title, Dilli. He wants it to be more poetic and has the essence of what the show is. The Sacred Games actor plays a politician in this Ali Abbas Zafar directorial. The show is about dirty politics, students’ politics, murders, sex scandals and more.
