Gear up for deadly fears and crazier stunts! Khatron Ke Khiladi is coming back for a 14th soon. Colors stunt-based reality show has gained a cult following in the past few years. With fans and followers tuning in to watch their favorite celebrities battle out their fears and emerge as the winner. As Khatron Ke Khiladi 14 inches closer, look back at when the OG host of Fear Factor, Akshay Kumar, returned for a major prank on the show!
An adaptation of the international Fear Factor, the show premiered in 2008 as Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi, with Akshay Kumar hosting the season. The first two seasons included only female contestants. However, Priyanka Chopra took over as show host in the third season, replacing Khiladi Kumar. However, due to poor ratings for Season 3, Kumar was brought back for what would be his final season.

Rohit Shetty, the name most commonly associated with Khatron Ke Khiladi now, took over the show in Season 5. Arjun Kapoor hosted the show for one season in between but since season 8, Rohit Shetty has held his command, and has become the mascot of the show.
In a weirdly fun throwback moment, Akshay Kumar, the OG Khiladi and host of the show returned for the Finale of Khatron Ke Khiladi Season 9 in 2019. Television actor Aly Goni was a finalist on the show, and he was in for quite a surprise.

Khiladi Kumar was the star guest on the Grand Finale, but would it truly be Akshay if he didn’t do something daring? He brought out an iguana and asked the contestants, especially Bharti Singh and Aly Goni, to hold it. Kumar made several jokes about how the Iguana wanted to be near Aly and even asked him to kiss it.
Rohit Shetty also eggs on Goni about being scared of the animal and pushes him toward the Iguana, but Aly seems petrified. Aly finally manages to kiss the Iguana, and Akshay, in the end, calls him a good sport.
The whole thing was done in good sport, and the Finale was quite successful. Choreographer and actor Punit J Pathak emerged as the winner of Khatron Ke Khiladi,while Aly Goni ended up in fifth place.
Reports suggest that Season 14 of Khatron Ke Khiladi will air by May 2024.
