Ekta Kapoor’s Kasautii Zindagii Kay is currently in a soup. Parth Samthaan who plays Anurag to Erica Fernandes’ Prerna wants to quit. Rumours around his exit began doing the rounds last week. Ever since fans have been upset but hopeful that the actor will continue. But will it lead to the show ending?
It is said that Parth wants to focus on his other work commitments. The actor is looking forward to a big break in Bollywood. Owing to the same, he opted out and gave notice as soon as he returned to sets after recovering from COVID. But Ekta had been convincing him to stay back.
Things have now turned tense. Parth Samthaan, as per the latest reports, is not co-operating. The actor has not even been turning up on sets on random days. If that isn’t it, even on days that he does, the Kasautii Zindagii Kay actor shoots for a short period.
A source close to Mumbai Mirror revealed about the Kasautii Zindagii Kay actor’s plans. “His (Parth Samthaan) health is his priority right now. Also, he has a Bollywood film coming up and wants to concentrate on that,” they revealed.
But Ekta Kapoor has an idea of the TRPs Parth has been charting for KZK. The content czarina is leaving no stones unturned to make him stay. “Recently, she even roped in a third person known to both to help her convince Parth to continue with the show. But he is not keen. Parth has found a huge following and Anurag is an iconic character. Ekta is clear that if he doesn’t stay and she can’t find a worthy replacement, she will end Kasautii Zindagii Kay.”
The source adds that Parth Samthaan’s lack of interest cannot be hidden anymore. “In the last week alone, he didn’t turn up on two days, Saturday and Monday, and on Tuesday, he shot for just two hours. He isn’t even interacting with the unit much and keeps to himself,” concluded the source.
