Karan Patel is among those Television celebrities who are rumored to participate in Bigg Boss every year. Despite being approached multiple times, he’s refrained from being associated with the reality show. The Yeh Hai Mohabbatein actor recently called Salman Khan hosted reality show “dirty” and drew massive backlash. Scroll below for his clarification post!
In an interaction with ETimes, Karan had seemingly questioned the makers. He targeted them for making the show all about social media influencers and added, “Where has your understanding and level of calling people or treating people like celebrities come down to?” If that wasn’t enough, Patel allegedly added, “It’s become such a dirty, disrespectful show to be associated with.”
Karan Patel clarifies “dirty” remark on Bigg Boss
The remarks certainly did not go well with the fans of Bigg Boss, who bombarded a lot of hate on his social media comments. Many even found his remark disrespectful toward the host, Salman Khan. But now, Karan Patel has shared a clarification and claims his comment was misled.
Karan Patel wrote on his Instagram stories, “To finally put an end to all the uncalled-for reactions to a statement that I did not even make in the first place. When asked about Bigg Boss, I said the show has become far more lenient over the last few years and there is no limit to how low someone can go to character assassinate someone. Salman Bhai has always requested the contestants week after week to mind their words as it’s a family show, and sometimes the episodes get so dirty that viewing it in the company of family members becomes shamefully awkward, and that’s the context I meant ‘dirty’ in, and not in any connection to the channel, the broadcaster, or the host. I have immense respect for all of them.”
Karan Patel was also offended by the media twisting his words. He asked the portals to continue being the “medium” instead of trying to be the “source of the news.”
