Chance was born in 1996 in LA, California, but raised in Southampton, England. He is best known for his role as Ambrose Spellman in the Netflix series Chilling Adventures of Sabrina from 2018-2020. According to some reports, he auditioned for the part of Jughead Jones in Riverdale, which eventually went to Cole Sprouse. Perdomo was also known for his role in the BBC Three film Killed by My Debt. He was nominated at the 2019 BAFTA TV for his performance in the movie.
The 27-year-old actor sadly passed away in a motorcycle accident in March 2024. His publicist released a statement, “His insatiable appetite for life was felt by all who knew him. His warmth will carry on in those who he loved dearest,” has been seen by CBS. As per the report, details about his accident have not yet been shared, but it has been informed that no other individuals were involved.
Amazon MGM Studios and Gen V co-producers Sony Pictures Television stated, “The entire Gen V family is devastated by the sudden passing of Chance Perdomo. Amazon MGM Studios and Sony Pictures Television extend our heartfelt thoughts and support to Chance’s family and all who loved him at this difficult time.”
The Gen V producer also issued a statement and said, “We can’t quite wrap our heads around this. For those of us who knew him and worked with him, Chance was always charming and smiling, an enthusiastic force of nature, an incredibly talented performer, and, more than anything else, just a very kind, lovely person. Even writing about him in the past tense doesn’t make sense. We are so sorry for Chance’s family, and we are grieving the loss of our friend and colleague. Hug your loved ones tonight.”
