FRIENDS, a show that began 1994 but remains relatable till date. Yes, it was way ahead of its times and will always remain special to many. Featuring Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Matthew Perry, Matt LeBlanc, David Schwimmer and Lisa Kudrow – the team is gearing up for a reunion. We have the latest update regarding the same.
The reunion episode was supposed to be shot long back. However, the coronavirus pandemic hit the world. Ever since shoots had been stalled and things had come to a standstill. Although things are getting back to normalcy, Jennifer Aniston and the team aren’t very sure yet.
David Schwimmer, in a recent interview, confirmed that there indeed would be a FRIENDS reunion. However, the team still isn’t sure of ‘when.’ However, he gave some insights regarding the reunion episode and fans surely will be left elated.
While his appearance on the Today Show, David Schwimmer aka Ross Geller said, “There’s definitely going to be a ‘Friends’ reunion. We have a lot of the creative aspects of the show kind of worked out. It’s unscripted, but there are going to be some surprise funny bits. The real question is, ‘When?’ We’re still trying to figure that out because we want to do it when it’s safe to do so for everyone.”
The FRIENDS reunion will be filmed on the Warner Bros. studio lot. It’s the place that Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox and the team originally called ‘home.’ All the leading cast members, from Lisa Kudrow to Matthew Perry, are sure to be a part of the special episode.
Rumours are rife that the famous ‘we were on a break’ debate between Ross and Rachel will be sparked again. The most exciting part comes in the form of a teaser during the interview. Angela Featherstone who played copy girl that slept with Ross during ‘the break’ made an appearance. She was heard saying, “All I know is he was definitely on a break when he was with me.” She was also seen holding a placard in the form of an invitation to her coffee shop!
