Samantha entered the world of entertainment with Gautham Menon’s Telugu film, Ye Maaya Chesave (2010) and its simultaneously-filmed Tamil version Vinnaithaandi Varuvaayaa. She won the Filmfare Award for Best Female Debut – South and a Nandi Award for her performance in this film. In the last decade, the actress has given a number of hits, impressing fans across the globe. is known for her amazing performances in films such as ‘Ye Maaya Chesave,’ ‘Neethaane En Ponvasantham’, ‘Eega’, ‘Mersal’ and ‘Rangasthalam’. She impressed all with her role in ‘Super Deluxe’ last year.
Samantha Akkineni will next be seen in ‘Kaathuvaakula Rendu Kaadhal’, starring Vijay Sethupathi. The film also stars Nayanthara and is directed by Vignesh Shivan.
Samantha began dating her debut film co-star Naga Chaitanya in 2010. They got engaged in a ceremony in Hyderabad in January 2017 and exchanged vows in Goa in 2017 as per traditional Hindu customs (6 October) and then Christian customs (7 October)
