Here’s Who Helped Chiranjeevi To Get In Touch With Amitabh Bachchan For Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy

Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy finally hit the theatres on October 2nd. The film marked Amitabh Bachchan’s first collaboration with Chiranjeevi and the audience was pretty excited to see them together on the big screen. But did you know that the South megastar did not directly ask Big B to play the role!

Yes, you read that right. Recently, Chiranjeevi revealed how he had asked Big B’s wife Jaya Bachchan for help to reach out to Amitabh Bachchan for the role of the Guru in the magnum opus ‘Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy‘. Chiranjeevi revealed that he had met Jaya Bachchan in the Parliament where he asked her to help him with this.

In an interview with Zoom TV, the superstar recounted how nervous he was when the director of the film asked him to directly call up Bachchan. “No, I cannot take advantage like this. He’s very good, he is like my mentor. So I cannot like simply ask him”, said Chiranjeevi when the director asked him to call up Big B.

He further revealed, “I said I will try. I don’t know if he will accept this 5-days character or not but whatever he says, I will try. And then, in Rajya Sabha Parliament, where I am member of Parliament, I spotted Jaya Bachchan. So I told her that I wanted to talk to Bachchan. She said you can talk to him to which I said no, no it’s a very embarrassing situation. I requested her that ‘Can you tell him? I am in an obligation and want to talk to him’. She said ‘Just SMS him, he will revert.'”
